Why more C type replicas than D type?

Why are there so many more C type replicas available than D type?
Is it because the tubular frame is easier to reproduce than the monocoque?
Here in Australia there have been two wonderful C type replicas for sale in the past six months. Both around the US $200k mark, one is still available and I would buy it would the better half give me permisssion!

Maybe because they just look better?! Now, where did I put that for hose…

Adrian at Realm has stopped making D-Types because the C-Type is more of a street car than the D. Therefore, more in demand…
