I am about to re-assemble the gearboxes for my XK-120 windscreen wipers. The service manual recommends zinc oxide grease for the gearboxes and Duckhams H.B.B. or it’s equivalent for the cable. What would the modern-day equivalents to these be?

Ordinary chassis grease is fine for this light load.
