I’m fairly new here and am enjoying getting my 1971 E-type 2+2 FHC up-to-speed. My current project is wipers. Wiper motor and motion are good. Got new wiper blade assemblies - 15" - proper blades from a most reputable outfit. Passenger side works just right. Driver’s side leaves much rain in the middle because the blade doesn’t straighten out on the flat part of the windshield when it gets there. The blade mechanism seems to flex easily from curved to flat, but it doesn’t do it on the windshield. Any ideas?
Probaboly binding in the carrier, make sure the blade slides easily.
Try switching R to L and see what happens.
Remove wiper from arm…as gently as possible, put a slight bend in the arm… This will push the wiper down a bit, and should give you the cleaning action in the middle that your looking for. You will get s feel for it as your doing it. Enjoy the Series 3…I have had one for 43 years. Great car.
