[x-type] Fitting Ford parts

So the AJ-V6 is based off the Ford 3.0 DOHC block, right? Will
accessories such as alternators, A/C compressors, ect. fit an X-
Type? For that matter will an S-Type 3.0 engine bolt straight into
an X-Type engine bay? And (this is purely hypothetical- I’d never
try it) Could an X-Type be lumped with a Duratec V6 and FWD
transmission with little or no modifications to the frame?
(Obviously, these questions assume one cares more for functionality
and saving money than maintaining factory correctness).–

I cant answer all your questions but this is what I think :-

The original duratec V6 was based on a Mazda powerplant.

Jaguar added variable valve timing & a unique cylinder head.

There was a 2.1 litre V6 Front drive version in the UK from launch.

A friend of mine has a 2005 ST220 Mondeo which has a 3.0 V6
duratec. We parked up side by side & compared engines & I didn’t
spot one common visible part. All the upper castings were
different. I didn’t look from below though.–

Variuos parts (<20%) have been transferred but a lot have been
modified by Jag so even a Ford engineer wouldnt recognise them.
I believe there are certain exceptions to this eg brake discs/pads
(EBCs for Ford Mondeo Mk3 fitted straight into my 02,various motors
eg wiper motor, air con condensor I believe the same (may be
complete a/c system??) but I would confirm if I were you first–
