[x300] Brake problem (only when cold)

For three nights now I have found the power boost on my brakes did
not work until the engine warmed up. The brakes worked, but felt
like a truck! Once the engine was warm, all was well. The wierd
thing is that in the morning (in garage all night) there is no
problem. When parked in the parking lot until 11:00 PM (Hey, it’s
only 28F out - what happens when it REALLY gets cold?) the brakes
have no boost until the engine hits normal temp.
Any ideas?–

I wonder if the vacuum hose from the inlet manifold is caked up, so the
brakes only get boost when the sludge has melted a little. It’s a simple
thing so probably worth a poke around.
