[x300] Interior lights flickering or burning out

I have a 99 VDP and have been experiencing an interior lighting
issue. My center console green light running around my shifter has
partially blown out, and my interior lights flicker while the car
is running, so quickly the average person wouldn’t notice.
Flickering is also noticable on the green back light for the
climate control and cluster needles (speedometer etc)are only
partially lit. Anyone have an idea as to what could be going
wrong…? Where do I start?–

Sounds very much like a corroded connection, I’ve heard the
ones on either side of the firewall are favourite for this.–

Rapid flickering can be a bad relay. Start looking in the wiring
diagram for a relay that controls these things, pull it or them and
see if it stops. A thing that can cause a good relay to cycle is a
resistive switch. If the relays are good, look at the switches that
control them, one may be resistive. This is common on the XJ6 rear
door switches for example. They get resistive and make the interior
lights flicker.–
