[x300] Jaguar Floor Mats

Just got a set of mats for my 95 SWB XJ12 and discovered I am
missing the ‘‘retention posts’’ which hold them securely in place
according to the Jaguar leaflet in the package.
Anyone have the part number or know of a source ?
Appreciate your help.–

I too need these carpet studs. I tried the part number in a
whole bunch of online suppliers with no luck. Do you know of
any online source who carries them?

Thanks, Steve–

Cooker,

I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t be so worried about the wool as I would the backing.
It’s kind of stiff, and I think if the mat folded in the washer and spun
that way, it would take a long time to get that crease out. Someone who has
actually tried it, may have found that that’s not a problem.

I’d treat it like a piece of carpet and use carpet-cleaner detergent on it
after testing in an inconspicuous spot, just in case. If you have a wet-dry
vac or some other extraction tool, I think that would be the best solution.

Have had good luck washing Lambswool over rugs. Wet them well, use
mild detergent, gentley work it into the wool, with your hands,
then rinse well, I hosed mine off in the driveway, shake well and
leave to dry in the sun. Have not had trouble with the backing, if
you do then reglue.

Use some Woolite, diluted in warm water. Let them soak for a
time, then hand wash. Rinse well and lay the mats out in the
sun to dry. A vacuum will then fluff them back quite nicely.–
