[x300] Prime Minister in quite a nice jaguar

It really annoyed me seeing Gordon Brown in a really nice XJ with
my Milans but seeing David Cameron in his silver blue version I
thought was really cool.
Won’t make any difference to me who wastes my tax but if it keeps
Jaguar in business then i’m in.–

Freddy,

Agree, although Silver Blue X350 was really weird spec.

It had a 2006+ MY side (ie. no rubbing strips and clear
indicator), it had a pre 2006 MY grill, it had pre-2008 MY
front and back bumpers and a 2010 registration plate?

Rear door small window was also blacked out, and noticed
funny trim around the door openings when openend, so suspect
that it was armour plated.

How sad am I tonight!!

As an aside, noticed quite a few Jag X350’s and at least one
X308 during the latter part of the campaigning, for all
three main leaders.

Cheers
Mark.–

Well I loved the blue x308 with the daimler wheels. Very nice

They always seam to be an odd spec. I remember when they had the
XJ40 door handles fitted to them. I presume easier for people to
open.

As far as the X350 goes, you need to mix and match to get it
looking right ;)–

Nice pictures. I was watching some clip of someone (hardly
paying attention because it hardly concerns me being in the
US) on the news, and saw him with a late model Jaguar S-type.

Hardly! It seems like all they drive are Audi’s and BMW’s. I suppose it
depends upon how “British” is defined. Is a Ford made in the UK a
British car? Not really, since it’s owned by a US company, ditto for
Vauxhall ( GM UK)

Aww C’mon, I don’t want to have to claim that Ford Ka!

Renault has a strong presence there as well. I’d like to see the sporty
version of the Smart Roadster over here. I’ve only seen those boxy
versions.

Cheers,

That just goes to show that if you want to get on in this
world, ditch those outdated old X308’s and get yourself an X350!

I like to think of myself as a trendsetter.

Was GB’s journey from No 10 to Buckingham Palace (to resign) in
a ‘W’ reg Daimler V8 (same colour as mine) significant? I noticed
he even lost his Motorcycle outriders on the way back. How fickle
it all seems, although the Daimler trip should not be taken as a
downward step!

Steve, it wasn’t a Daimler, just had Daimler wheels. As I buy and
sell Jaguar wheels and tyres as a hobby, I thought they would look
nice against the Pacific Blue body.

Hi Gary,

A LWB XJ8 with Daimler wheels, maybe. But an XJ8 with picnic tables
and Daimler external trim? Less likely perhaps. Apart from 3
aerials on the back end and blue strobes on the front, it looked
identical to my Daimler shown on our website.

For the second time this year, it pains me to say, I have to agree
with Gary.

More Jaguar than anything else.

It had a full width chrome boot plynth.
I could see no sign of picnic tables.

Well Andy, there’s still 6+ months left of the year. Plenty of
time left for you to find something to disagree on with me:-)>

I must say though, I am slightly hurt as it was I who answered your
question, on another forum about what to use and in which order, re
cleaning/polishing/waxing your car!!

P.S. Don’t forget that, Daimlers also have the fluted grille
surround.–

Yes they do, and a fluted grille of course.

I wonder how much the official cars weigh? The super thick bomb-
proof glass and armour-plated body shell must pile on the pounds.
