[x300] Replacement radio

Does anyone know if the Sony stereos work with the Jaguars CD
changer? Ford radios are typically Sony based radios from my
experiences. If you look inside you will find Sony parts.–

In reply to a message from Wise1 sent Mon 25 Jul 2005:

The radios that work with the Jaguar CD changer are either Jaguar
radios or Alpine radios with CDM prefix with Jag01 adapter. If you
are taking out a Jaguar radio and aready have a Jaguar CD changer,
then the Alpine radio with CDM prefix should be a direct
replavcement without the need for a Jag01 adapter. You’ll need to
adapt a wiring harness and facia adapter is also recommended from
Nexxia.co.uk. The Jaguar radios were made by Alpine.

Doubt Sony works without some unknown mods. Ford uses Visteon
radios in many of their their new models.–
