i have a 93 xj6 and I took the wiper pannel off and took the wiper
off and I turned on the wipers and the bolt that held it on was
turning fine and when I put it all back together I put the wiper on
and tried it again and I heard squealing and the wiper wouldnt go
anywhere. I think it is the motor being too weak but if anybody
knows what else it could be could you please e mail me at

Are the splines where the wiper arm fits over the motor shaft ok, with no
free play? Try helping the motor, moving the wiper arm by hand and again see
if it feels like there is free play between motor and arm ( splines ) or the
motor has gone weak - maybe worn brushes.
