[x300] X300 Gearbox issues

She has been layed up for a few weeks whilst I replaced
the headlining and windscreen to a heated one. Which I had
to find the extra wiring and install for the heated
screen.
The air conditioning compressor clutch also failed when
she was started to move around the garage, which was
replaced by a clutch from a srapper.
Now back on the road the gear change is very harsh, it
comes with a big clonk, and it does not want to change up,
hanging on to the the gear. I can make it change by easing
back on the throttle and it changes up. Also the kick down
seems to knock it down a gear every time you slow down.
The car has only covered 60,000 miles with regular fiuld
changes.
Anybody got any ideas, I have looked through the achieves
but everybody states they are bullet prove gearboxes. Has
mine been hit by an armour piercing bullet !!!–

Sounds like a kickdown problem to me.

Check the kicdown cable and also the under throttle pedal switch
(if fitted to that model, can’t remember right now).

Good Luck
