Mike,
Dont forget that the dizzy runs at 1/2 spped of crank. The crank will rotate
tiwce for one rev of the dizzy! To be at proper timing to check the dizzy
the #1 piston should be at the top of the compression stroke and the intake
valve closing. It could be you have just checked the timing when the crank
is not positioned correctly.
