[xj-s] DPO BS

Is the heater core on an '88 appreciably easier to
change out that one on an earlier model? I can’t
imagine why it would be. DPO’s make stuff up but
there is a slight logic to it… plastic system from
the XJ40 instead of the steel version in the earlier
models? The whole dang dash has to come out either
way so I dunno how it could be easier.

An '88 will have the MK III Delanair system, introduced sometime in the '87
model year as I recall. Heater core replacement is much easier.

In essence: remove instrument cluster (10 minutes), remove left and right
access covers, undo pipes on the left side of the core, slide core out of
the case from the right side. That’s an abbreviated description, but dash
removal is not required on the Mk III system.

Plastic version ??
