[xj-s] Lister Wing

I just purchased a Lister Wing for my '94 XJS. Besides the mounting
hardware, it came with a round decal that says ‘‘Cambridge Lister’’.
Did these wings display such a decal and if so, what is the proper
placement. The wing is unpainted, and if the decal is authentic, I
plan on placing it on the color coat, then apply the clearcoat.

Thanks in advance,

Randy,

I have not seen a decal placed on a Lister wing. I
think it is just an advertising item Lister hoped you
would place on the window for others to see.

I do like your idea of placing the decal over the
paint and then clear coating it. Have you talked to
the paint people to see if this would create problems
with cracking or lifting the paint at the decal?

Placement could be anywhere. Try left end and center.
Please send a photo when done.— randojag rrogers15@cox.net wrote:

Personally I like the window idea. This way you are assured no
paint issues will arise. I believe any post factory type emblem
would have been affixed to a window anyway. My $0.02–
