[xj-s] Where is Relay to passenger side el window on V12 HE ? & Door

Hello all you XJS lovers, I have just bought my first, a
renoverings object.

  1. can someone tell me where the Relay to passenger side el window
    sits/is situated on 1988 V12 HE ?
  2. My drivers side door has dropped: Can someone tell me how to fix
    that problem please.

There is a relay behind the trim on the outboard side of the foot well.
Not sure if it’s for the window motor or the lock solenoid.

  1. My drivers side door has dropped: Can someone tell me how to fix
    that problem please.

Could it be wear in the hinge pins? Grab the door at the open edge
and see if it moves when you lift. If it does it’s probably the hinge pins.
If it seems pretty solid, but just riding too low, it could be that
someone had it off at one time and failed to set it right
when reinstalling it.

I have replaced the hinge pins with a GM part, requiring reaming out the
holes. I can provide more info if you decide to do that.

On my '88 (USA, LHD) the power window relay is mounted on the right side
component panel below/behind the glove box. It’ll be a round relay with
brown/blue, white/pink, and black wires.

If yours is faulty it can be replaced with a garden variety 30 amp
automotive relay with the “30-85-86-87” terminal designations and
configuration.

There is also a thermal breaker in the circuit.
