I noticed that the #2 valve tappet is really beaten up on the head I’m

Is this what happens when the engine needs a stake down kit, or is something
else going on with this valve?
Also notice the corrosion on the shell bearing on the right. I assume its
due to the fact the engine did not have an oil filler cap while stored and
moisture entered the head. The other side is perfect as are the front and
rear bearing on this side.
