$teve <@Jag87>
Hi all,
Thanx again for all of you out there who help me constantly I couldn’t
do this without ya! ;>
For those of you who have met me…well, not many but I kind of
tone-it-down at Jag shows or I would be bouncing off the courtyards
I’m sure you all could picture me and my attitude exactly Let’s just
say I usually never NOT have a smile on my face.
Tonight at work I spent over 20 MINUTES! with a costumer about my car!!
It started with me apologizing for how gross my hands were (after the
gouge…oh yeah!!! You guys didn’t hear THIS story!!)
Last night, after I sent the email, she still wouldn’t start. It was
around 7:30 Pm and my dad wanted to move the Jag into the garage. So, my
brother, my dad and I were going to push the Jag up the slight incline into
the garage.
Since the driveway had a nice coating of oil/antifreeze on it, my dad went
to get my brother because we kept slipping.
ME!! stupid $teve at the moment, decided to go to one of the rear tires and
try to turn it from there to get it started…WELL!!! my dad didn’t
know I was down there because I truthfully don’t know WHY I was down there
so.
MY hand’s on the pirelli and the car starts rolling backwards…WELL!!!
By the time I noticed my left piano-playing hand is WEDGED in that 3/4 of
an inch between the tire and the sharp wheel well!!!
#&$@**^$^@^$^(%()&#&(%(&#&(&(!!! I SCREAMED for my
father to push the car forward…he did, and there on my left
piano-playing for over 10 years hand, is a ONE CM! groove in my skin!!
Top that with the two gashes in my left middle finger and left index finger
from the thermostat housing and you have one beat-up hand, not to mention
the grease, oil, antifreeze, liquid wrench, etc. etc. etc. all ready
coating my skin.
So AFTER yesterday I can handle ANYTHING WITH my car
So back to the topic…hmm…what was it…??? oh
yeah
The customer at work said “What car?!” I told him a 1986 Jag. His eyes
lit up as we spent the next twenty minutes talking about how incredible
they are.
He said QUOTE: “They are the classiest automobiles ever made, the Series 3
XJ6” I couldn’t HELP to agree
So that made my night…
OH YEAH!! The “SEALS” part These seals I’m going to replace when I
drain my gas tanks, are they just general seals or should I go to foreign
car parts and ask for specific 1986 XJ6 seals for the gas tanks. Thanx
ANYWAYS $teve has to pack for Cananda. :)))))))))) !!!
I hope to see some RARE! XJ12 Series 3!!!
Talk to you all when I get back and have to check the 800 emails from the
list ;>
Have a good week everyone!!
