[xj] wiper motor? and starter?

Hello all,
my wipers don’t park right. While they do work well in terms of performance,
and speeds, when I go to park them, they don’t return to their correct
position. I have to jiggle the windshield wiper stalk on the steering column
to get wipers in the correct spot. Where exactly is the wiper motor parking
switch??? What should I do?
Also I forgot where is the starter?? I would like to replace that as well.

Also I forgot where is the starter?? I would like to replace that as well.

the starter motor is located on the intake side of the engine, above the oil
pressure sensor/filter assembly.

Michael: this is usual on a Series III car. The vatsy majority have wipers
that do n ot park in the normal mode, but will park in the intermittent
mode. This is NOT a function of the park switch, but is a fault in the
column switch. Most of us simply switch to intermittent to park the wipers.
Or you can replace the switch.
