I was browsing around and found this site explaining the cutting
codes for the tibbe keys. I often see people asking how to work out
the code so try this site http://www.motorcarsltd.com/technician-tips/tibbekeycodes.htm

Does anyone know, is it possible to buy blank (uncut, virginal)
Tibbe keys so that we can cut them ourselves??? I would really like
to make spares for both my XJ40’s. Thanks–

I have another question vaguely relating to keys. I have a Tibbe
key with a built-in flashlight keyhole-finder. The battery is dead,
dead, dead. So far I haven’t been able to find a replacement
battery. Does anyone know of where/who to order from? Thanks.–

I bought a set on ebay for less than $10, then called a local locksmith. He
did not do them, but knew another who did. Costs $3 each to have cut and
took less than a minute. Knew what he was doing. That was here in Oklahoma
City, but I’m sure there are locksmiths in other cities and states who are
just as qualified. Worked great the first time.
