I have a 4ltr sov and when the car is hot it can take time to start
i.e 5-10 sec of cranking over then it will fire up .
I have changed the crank sensor the plugs and leads,dis cap and
rotor arm and the fuel filter can someone help.The only thing that
i will say is that when the car has been used for a couple of hours
and is then switched off you can smell fuel but I cant see any
leaks thanks for the help if anyone can…

Sounds like a classic case of faulty fuel pressure regulator. The diaphragm
will be perforated so the fuel rail loses fuel when stationary.
Pull off the vac pipe at the back of the regulator and see if any fuel is
present, it shouldnt be
