OK - I forgot to note something for re-assembly, but I think I remember how it
goes.
When replacing the intake manifold, starting from the head, one should install
the gasket first, then the standards/clips for the fuel injection wiring, then
the manifold, yes ? Then the ground wire cluster for the fuel injection gets
tightened on the outside of the manifold betwixt the manifold and the fastener ?
AND - I have (3) pieces for the gasket, though I only removed one. The “new”
gasket has a thick bit, and two paper thin bits - I make a sandwich w/ the thin
bits on the outside, yes ?
Thanks !

Paper gasket, spacer, paper gasket, manifold.
The center bit is to reduce the heat on the manifold from the head.
Any mounts or wires go under a bolt or nut that holds the manifold
on, not under the manifold, which needs to seal air tight.

Yes.
What was the original setup like?
Someone must have been in there before, doing a bodge job.
The car will likely run much better when hot with the correct
gasket and spacers.
