[xj40] Oil pressure sending unit?

I recently posted a similar blog but I haven’t driven my Jag in a
couple weeks due to the heavy snow. I got in it today and drove it
around. The oil pressure was up at its normal mark. I turned on my
heater and the pressure went down so I turned the heater off but
since then it has stayed down at the red mark and I pulled over 2
times to check the oil and it was normal. Will driving it this way
hurt my engine or is it just the oil sending unit (dummy light)???

I posted a blog similar to this in the past. I havent driven my Jag
in a couple weeks due to heavy snow. I started it today and drove
it around with the oil pressure light reading normal. When I turned
my heater on the pressure went down to the red and stayed there so
I turned my heater off and it never went back up. I pulled over a
few times to check and make sure that it has oil and it was at the
full mark. Is it ok to drive it this way with the oil pressure
light reading zero and it has oil or is that just the ‘‘Dummy/Idiot
Light’’?
