[xj40] Radiator from 88 XJ6 to '90 Sovereign?

CAn this be done? Can a 1988 XJ serve as donor car for a
1990 sovereign? I need the radiator… if not for this part,
is the car compatible for other things?

Only for major parts like glass, doors and the like The power train is
different from engine to differential and the electronic all different
especially fro the dash panel.

I’m pretty sure it can. I have been slowly stripping a 90 XJ40 at
the do-it-yourself salvage yard to support my two 88s. So far,
I’ve taken the drive shaft, both heater fans, the radiator fan,
alternator, wiper motor, load dump module, water pump, and a couple
of incidentals. Everything fits, except the drive shaft was about
an inch short so I’m running with some of the spline exposed.
If you have a deal on the radiator, go for it.–
