I’m second owner of a '92 Jag Sovereign - we replaced the battery;
and then got code message;have now received code from jag dealer.
However, the code is 3816 … okay I can plug in the 3, 1, & 6.
But got no clue how to punch in the ‘‘8’’ as radio has 2 rows of
digits …
first row 1, 2, 3, channel select
second row 4, 5, 6, wb
dealer sayes that strange code being with an ‘‘8’’ … hummmmmmm …
not a big help.
Any hints, guesses, knowing on how to enter this code of 3816.
Thanks.
oh yeah, sorry, I have owners’ manual but not radio manual. From
what we can tell, from original owner that he assures us that the
radio was never changed out.–

That ‘3816’ has to be a typo by the dealer - or whoever gave
him the code.
You can’t punch in any other numbers above 6.–

Maybe the bloke whom wrote the numbers down has chicken
scratch for handwriting… Have you tried 3616? Just a
thought, if that doesn’t work you should go back to the
dealer.–
