XJ6 S1 rear hub "excessive" endfloat

Keep an eye on it as these u-joints see a lot of stress and are a integral part of the suspension.
The good news is that it’s easy to repair and can be done with out dropping the IRS.
Just slide the hub off the half-shaft, undo the four bolts at the disc brake and the shaft is out.

I always put my cars up on ramps in the yard and give them the once over with my Karcher before annual inspection. Our test requires that no oil drop from the vehicle during the duration of the inspection. Each year is the same and I pass on each occasion. Maybe your tests are more onerous? Paul.
