Will a xj6 turnover with security system on?

No Series III XJ6 was ever equipped with a security at the factory.
If your car has one it was installed afterwards by a prior owner. If your car has one you will have to post pictures so we have an idea what you are asking about.

As Paul says, Janson - it depends on the aftermarket security system fitted…
The usual standard is that cranking is disabled - together with fuel pump and ignition. But there is no industrial ‘standard’…
If your problem is caused by a failed security system; get rid of it - without installation specifics it’s virtually impossible to rectify. But a ‘no crank’ situation may have other causes - it should be fairly easy to sort out…
