XK 150 Center Dash Removal

I would appreciate advice on removing the centrer dash on my fhc. I seem to recall that it is not as simple as removing the bakelite nuts in the top corners. On my Mk.2 once the nuts are removed the whole panel hinges down but on the XK there are chrome trims surrounding the panel and I suspect it is not as simple.
Many thanks in advance.

There are two small bolts under each bottom corner, access is from underneath. Once you remove all the knobs and bakelite nuts the complete dash comes off including chrome trim which is fixed to the front face of leather trim. The 150 dash is not hinged.

Many thanks Morris. I will try that in the morning.

these might help

Hi Phil
Thanks for the photos especially the one of the new cover. It is still not 100% clear how the bottom of the cover is fixed. I assume the chrome strips slide or clip on.
Regards and once again many thanks
