Hello Folks,
I am sure this question has been asked before but a search in the archives healded nothing. I am restoring a chassis that is pretty badly rusted. Would someone tell me where to look for the chassis number? Also, the body is pretty shot. Has anyone looked into the recreated bodies made in Europe?

Center top of the front frame cross member. Right behind the radiator if it is in place.
On the left hand chassis frame member adjacent to the rear engine mounting. It should be six numerals beginning with 82 or 83 and there may or may not be a letter S or T prefix and/or letters DN or BW suffix.

Yep there as well. Mostly covered with the body mountings.
