I’m restoring my 1958 XK150 LHD and I found to wires hanging back from the right battery box.
They are light grey or slate main colour with red and green.
I have been looking if they can connect to other 2 wires in the area but I can’t find nothing.
I took a look to the wiring schemes and just find something similar in the overdrive solenoid, but mine seems correctly wired. These two cables go to the bulkhead under the main fuse box.

The S/G Slate and Green goes from O/D relay marked W2. to overdrive throttle switch.
The S/R Slate and Red goes from the other side of the o/d throttle switch to dash o/d switch.
