Charles I got hit with that bugg—er just after purchasing this magic box,
I then went and bought a Norton anti virus programme, thus the door is shut
after the horse etc.

I got it about less than a week before McAfee came out with the
anti-virus… Having talked to two very knowledgeable computer-tech types,
both say this bug was introduced around 1995… the “Anti-virus” companies
do not concern themselves with “low risk” viruses and only release the
anti-virus when it is up graded to “moderate”… The “high risk” viruses
make the news AFTER they hit major corporations…
I did a “DAT File” update before I got the virus… but since the
update didn’t have this bug in it, it did no good… I guess the
“Anti-virus” companies whan you to buy expensive “firewalls” to go along
with the anti-virus programs…

Peter, be aware that even with Norton or others, some times these buggs can get
through and still cause mischief-be certain that you get on the automatic
anti-virus update and keep it current. Good luck -Cheers, Rex
