[xk] Do U need original xk120 ots battery box

I have one original 53 xk120 ots battery box…from the right side;
this is the behind the seat box…7/3/4 x7 1/2x 5 3/4…in fairly
good condition…not corroded in the bottom and sides, has the upper
flanges…one top flange would need some work.
It was cut out from the surrounding sheet metal. If anyone needs it
for original replacement purposes…it is free to a good home (othr
than shipping).–

regarding battery box for 120; I had the entire battery box tray
and boxes fabricated from new steel…full width of horizontal tray,
and down towrd floorboard at front of tray, up toward the rear
behind seats, with two battery boxes in the correct locations but
made slightly wider and longer to accomodate modern batteries
(8x11in so that a plasic battery box drops right in) 5/12 deep (no
more…so as to clear anything beneath…including gas line).
Note…each battery box has flanges on the top…the box being a
separate piece from the tray…not welded in as original…thus the
entire metal box can be lifted out for easy access to the lever arm
shocks and differential/U joint.
total cost was $200.–
