Hi John Stevens & all – John, on my Engine Numbers list (from Rob Reilly),
your “7F” designation shows up thusly: “7Fxxxx 420” – thus, your XJ6
with a non-original motor had a 420 engine transplanted into it. I hope

Hi All,
I have found an XJ6 with a non origional motor. The engine no starts
7F. This is a 4.2 short stud motor, which I suspect could be out of
a 420 saloon or 420G/Mk10. Could anyone confirm?
