Did the 3.4L XK engine ever upgrade to a better seal than the
original rope style seal on the crankshaft or was the updated
version just something that came up after the end of the XK
production? If it was a Jaguar upgrade or modification, when did
it start in the 3.4S?
I’m not sure whether my VS1789-9 was upgraded or not; does anyone
on the list know exactly how to proceed in order to get this done
right if it needed to be done.
