[xk] XK120 frame 675356

Dear Brian, I certainly am still collecting the information, many
thanks. Where are you located and who bought it? How did you come by
it and any other history known? I might come across the engine one day
… was there a data plate with it anywhere? Regards, John Elmgreen

John all I know about this frame is that I paid $400.00 for it,
bought it from a fellow here in Virginia who had it in his Jag
salvage yard and there was no ID plate.
I just needed it for a template, as my wife’s 1954 120 OTS had
the central cross member cut up to accommodate a 350 Chevy
engine… The man who fabricated the cross-member for us did a
superb job, better quality welding then the original, all for
another $400.00
675356 was so nice and straight I decided to have it sandblasted
and primed. A local fellow charged me $250.00 for that service. The
sandblasting exposed 4 rust spots that are very easily welded and
left some scale here and there, but all in all this is a pretty
nice frame. I am delivering it to Alexander Sharpe in Harrisburg PA
this morning who is pretty excited about building a 120 from the
ground up.
Good to hear from you again John, hope this helps.–

Good to hear from you too! Has been a while and we (the central

Rick, it has been a while. The 140 is running so nice I am beside
myself with joy. Since installing the new water pump and electric
fan, it doeen’t even break a sweat in those awful Virgina summers.

Joanna’s 120 seats were dont by Bill Bassett and they are the
finest work I have seen, VERY happy with Bill’s work!

Stay in touch, maybe we will see you guys this year.–
