On an XK120 FHC, was there originally some kind of rubber dust cover over the firewall hole where the accelerator linkage comes out? I know they were used for the brake and clutch pedal holes, but I am not sure what if anything covered the accelerator linkage hole?

they relied on 2 felt O rings inside housing
