[xk8] 03 XK8 shift problem

Most of the shifts are so smooth they can barely be felt,
but the 1-2 shift, even under light throttle, is quite
dramatic, causing the car to seemingly leap forward. The car
shows only 22K km. Could something be stuck from sitting?
Thanks,
Jason Yardley–

There were several TSBs for fluid change and reconfiguring the TCM.
You might even need to delete/clear the transmission adaptations
with WDS (ver 30 or later) or IDS (any version).
The local dealer can scan your TCM and check to see if any software
upgrades are available.
