[xk8] front fender side marker/blinkers behind front wheels

I noticed pictures of UK cars that there is a nice amber
lens that blinks where the US cars have emblems. Reminds my
of my XJ6. Looking behind the emblem a harness is connected
to a blank plug at the emblem. I haven’t seen the parts in
any parts books so far. Has anybody installed the lights in
place of the emblems just behind the front wheels? Any p/n’s?–

In reply to a message from Joseph1 sent Tue 7 Jan 2014:

All cars outside of North America have this blinker.
Wires are always present and hot, behind the badge.
You just need to buy the lens and the connector, from
Jaguar, or Ford (the very same ones are mounted on many
Ford cars, Fiesta, etc…). On EBay you’ll find cristal
clear ones with coloured bulbs that are much nicer and
modern IMHO.

I couldn’t repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

I am posting for a friend, and I realize that this email string is quite old but it seems on target.
What is the Jaguar part number for the bulb behind the fender (wing) badge (emblem) for a 1998 XK8? Is the original post correct that the bulb was not installed in US cars?

Alternatively what type and wattage is that bulb and are alternatives available?

Thanks.

Paul

Sir,
I dont have that info. I would expect its the typical #24 type bulb also known as W5W at near 5 watts.

Outside of the US… Canadian cars have the repeaters on the fenders.
