Hi my 03 XJR with ODO is 130033, the Yellow engine light’s on and also the RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE prompted up. Any idea what to do - which part of the engin should have a check? thanks!
The ECM will have a DTC for the RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE fault.
Read the code(s) and post back for discussion.
Yes, the codes will tell you what is wrong. You can get a OBD-II code reader from almost any car parts store or Harbor Freight. Many car parts stores will read the codes for you free of charge.
Once you have the code(s), then you can get a lot more help because these will give a good idea where the problem is.
