Bleeding hydraulic top mechanism 92 XJS

I have repaired a leak in my hydraulic system and have been bleeding per factory instructions. I cannot seem to get the air out. Does anyone have any tips or advise?
Thanks Nordy

I am assuming you’re referring to the procedure described here:

AFAIK, this is the only way to do it.

All I did was put it up and down several times until it did a complete cycle a few times properly. Then I topped it off and ran it for a few weeks checking here and there, to verify it wasn’t low. Then topped it off again. Works perfectly
