Fog light setup on UK spec SII

In England where we get fog I find it best to drive with front fog only. Headlights off.

This gives the best sight.
Once when it was dark and foggy I found dip headlights useful too, but this is rare.

On these older cars it also saves the battery.
I recall the Mk2 S type would only allow one or the other to save dynamo.

This would be illegal in most European countries, Andy - and certainly here in New Zealand…

Reminds me of a report from a commission, long time ago, set down in England to view road codes and safety. A main conclusion was that ‘…drivers would see better in the dark with the headlamps lit’.

And that was one of the few memorable conclusions reached…:slight_smile:
