Outside mirror installation

The curve of the stem where the mirror attaches is different from the original. Instead of pointing straight to the rear of the car it points down and toward the driver’s window. So when you attach the mirror, the only thing you can see is your shoulder.

This has been discussed before, and, AFAIK, the correct stem is NLA.

However, somewhere in the archives is a post from one person who successfully heated and bent the stem on a mirror to make it usable.
