As the kids say nowadays…I feel ya!

My 6 kids(all adults now)and 10 grandchildren, laugh at my picker-
upper that I can pick up things on the floor without bending
over…saving my aching back. Works good for most tools and stuff I
drag out.:>)

I remember someone saying…‘‘Your getting old when…you bend over
to pick something up…and you look around for something else to do
while you are down there.’’ That’s definitely me.–

I’m 29. But I’ve owned my XJS for 7 years, and I had a few XJ6’s
before graduating onto the mighty V12!

My younger brother is also a Jag man, he bought his first XJS (a
3.6 sports) when he was 17.

I didn’t even know P&WA had a blade factory in Columbus, GA!
Perhaps it was established after I left in 1985?

33 years old. Joined Jag-lovers when I was 19… I made $4.25 an hour, yet I could afford an XJ-S (and a 73 MGB-GT, and a 72 MGB, and a '59 MG Magnette…) because gas was less than a buck and college was free

47 years old. Retired from the U.S. Army in 2009. Bought
our first Jag , an '86 XJ6, as a retirement gift / project.
Spent about a year turning it into a good daily driver. It
now sees daily use as our son drives it to/from work &
school. A little over a year ago we added to the stable
with a '90 XJS that was already in good condition. It’s my
daily driver when I’m not on my motorcycle.–

OK…I am calling the poll here at 44 responses to age.
Total ages 2452 years…divided by 44 = 55.72 or 56 years old is
the average age of XJS Jag owners that replied.
Almost 1/2 were over 60 years old
Only 7 were below 40

Thanks to all who replied!–

I know it’s too late to be part of the poll, but I’m 29 and
have an XJ-S. I have been questioned many times by friends
why I have one and at my age… I usually reply, if you have
driven one you would know why.

goes to show one of Jags main problems is
that they just dont seem to have a young following.

I was sort of thinking along the same line. The thought that popped into my head was, “Jags are a grown mans car”. You need to be a man in order to own one.

would be good to see each other but dont forget to bring

Well, I’ve been semi retired for the past 3 years, and I’m a very young 53. I do refrain from telling my age, because my body does not match my age. Just last year, while crossing the border from Shenzhen China into Hong Kong, I was briefly delayed because a customs officer had a difficult time with the age on my passport, and looking at me. I spoke a little Chinese to her, which calmed her down. We laughed about it, and she sent me on my way. Most people think I’m mid 30’s so I just go with that. I guess a life of athleticism has warded off the ill effects of passing years.
