You found the body number and not the vin. My body number is 4L6262 and it’s lhd. You still have to find the car number.
They could have welded the door handle hole up too, sure.

No. Nothing there . I have also semi remove the fender to see if it’s under , but still nothing
Nothing exactly where it is black in my picture? Hard to believe they didn’t stamp a body or changed large parts of the unibody. Not painted and bondoed over?

High taxes will make people do that. And the need to make the car look newer. There are several XJ12, XJ6C’s and other Series 2 and Series 3 look alike cars in Finland that are SWB and have a vin# starting 1L, 1G and even a first registration date of 1970. Pretty early for a coupé!

I think it doesn’t worth to be restored. My main thought is to borrow engine and some mechanics to build a replica of xj13. The blue one I like to make it my daily drive. But first I need to find some time for all these
